No Dog Likes to be Cornered
Obama just finished kicking McCain’s ass in the debate. If you thought Obama won the first debate, you must be floored by this one. McCain had the pressure on him. McCain is supposedly familiar with “town hall” style debates. McCain is supposedly experienced, intelligent, and “ready to lead.” And yet he couldn’t have done more to look the fool. Stunting around, bumbling over his words, scoring no points at all, even as Obama got a little long-winded. McCain just couldn’t cut it. He’s just not ready to be president (and not going to be either; November is looking increasingly like a landslide victory for Obama).
But now I’m getting scared. McCain and Palin are cornered. Will they snap? Will they bite back? Will they attack? Already at Palin rallies, her supporters are calling for Obama to be killed. They’re shouting racial slurs at reporters. Will she start next? Will McCain finally go all out, put it all on the table? Will they meet with their buddies in the KKK to try to put McCain in the White House – by any means necessary? I don’t want to be a fear-monger, but no dog likes to be cornered. And McCain/Palin are nothing if not dogs.
