The Changing Faces of McCain
Monday, October 6th, 2008What a maverick. John McCain has given up his run for the presidency. No, he hasn’t turned down the nomination. And he’s still making the rounds, giving speeches, letting loose his bitch Palin (she’s a pitbull, remember), and stumbling his way through his talking points. But he’s given up the race in spirit, with the realization that it looks increasingly unlikely that he can win. He’s even withdrawn his campaign from Michigan, realizing that his message of hopelessness can’t win over the voters of that downtrodden state (remember, in the primary, he told Michigan that there was no way to get back the jobs they lost).
McCain has now said that he won’t run on the issues. He told reporters that Obama was ahead because “life isn’t fair.” He insinuates that voters are stupid because they are voting for the man who can lead us out of this economic crisis, rather than the man who helped get us into it. He can’t talk about the economy (ever, or any more), because he has openly admitted that economic policy is not his strong suit. He’ll probably haul out his “the economy is strong” speech soon enough.
And he has realized he can’t win on the character issue. It was John McCain who looked erratic, unprepared, and un-presidential during the first debate. Obama looked polished, intelligent, and ready to lead. McCain can’t go around telling people that Obama is no good or that Obama doesn’t understand regular people; it’s absolutely not true, and poll numbers show that the American people are too smart to buy that bunk.
So all he has left is his bitch, who he’s released onto the unsuspecting public. Palin has gone on to prove that she knew absolutely nothing of the Primaries (despite her claim that she watched the Democratic Primary debates – who in the world believes something like that?). She’s dragging out Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright; Palin – we seen that already. It didn’t work. It didn’t make sense. “Swiftboat” is not seen as a positive term any longer. She would realize that if she didn’t have a brain the size of a dog’s.
Funny thing, though – the stock market isn’t exactly back on the rise. The Dow is down 300 points as I write this. And the media isn’t exactly dedicating a lot of space to Palin. It seems her problems with interviewing, coupled with the campaign keeping her sequestered, means the media lost interest pretty quickly. There are a lot of pretty bitches out there. So when she comes out with her tired attacks that don’t make sense, the media dedicated space to Obama saying that her attacks prove the McCain camp is out of touch and has no solutions. Thank you, Palin, for once again spouting the truth.
Obama is on the rise. The media knows it. The American people know it. The polls show it. And McCain is about to have a heart attack. You can’t win by playing the fool, McCain. The American people are too smart to fall for folksy-talk and swiftboat-politics again.
