Through The Roof!!

I was planning to reveal this information in a couple of days, but the response to my post “Numbers Don’t Lie” has been so overwhelming that I couldn’t wait to write! My clumsy and ridiculous attempt to increase readership has worked, better than I could have possibly hoped for! By simply including those magic words (which I will not reveal here, as a continued part of the experiment), the views on my blog have increased dramatically.

Let me break it down for you:

Yesterday, there were 10 views on the post. Today, 13! The plug-in uses GMT, so you can see that it is spread out over two days, when actually it’s just one. But the craziest thing: I published that post at 3 PM today!! Needless to say, the numbers don’t lie.

Average readership, per day, from July 3 until July 23 has been 5 views. Ouch! My blog = not big time. Adding in the last two days, however, and I’m up to 7.5! In the last two days, I have had a total of 65 views! That’s called making it for real. I am now in the media elite. How many visits does Facebook get? I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure I’m getting close.

So, shout out to you kind folks who made this happen! I may call upon you again to boost my numbers, especially if I start putting advertisements on my site. Visit, click, and buy! Although, actually, I guess I won’t be calling on you; I’ll be calling on your Google Trollers and your exceptional sense of duty. You are all my heroes. I’m sure your year-end bonuses will reflect your excellent sleuthing.

“With those few magic words, I can manipulate a whole bunch of people, determined to waste their time scanning the blogosphere for any tidbit about their organization.”

“Average readership, per day, from July 3 until July 23 has been 5 views. Ouch! My blog = not big time.”

Sorry I couldn’t resist… what is the bigger waste of time here? Spending 5 minutes a day clicking links google has alerted me on or writing a blog that no one reads? I mean really.. this is dumb. You put epic in your blog just to get more people to waste their time by reading your blog which is a waste of time in itself. How interesting. Congratulations, you have “manipulated” me… you win. I wish you luck in your bitterness. Now I have to add -”dumbasses” to my google alerts.

Alas, there is not external reward in our every action! You must therefore conclude that I write because I enjoy it. I keep a personal journal for the same reason. I’m also working on my third album (very few have heard the first two). And I’m always kicking around ideas for novels, in the hopes that one day, I might just get lucky!

I’ll try to use the word “dumbasses” in my posts more, so as to keep you informed.
