What If…?
Monday, April 17th, 2006I fully expect to end up on the street after I graduate, homeless and hopeless. But then I had an interview today with Epic Systems, a Madison-based company that makes healthcare software. I think the interview went really well. The only thing I worry about is that I got the person’s name wrong… but I am almost positive it was Julian. If it’s wrong, oh well. She didn’t use my name the whole interview. But gosh, what if I got it wrong?! No, I really don’t think I did.
Anyway, so she said she wants to bring me in for an onsite interview. This will mean a tour of the facility, some written examinations (who knows what that means), and a face-to-face interview. They are supposedly going to contact me to set that up. Yippee!
Still, I’m nervous. I still don’t believe that people get jobs after they graduate. But, my friend Steph got a job, and my friend Pakou has a job. I don’t know anyone else, but still, that’s pretty good. Hopeful at least. And staying in Madison would be good for family reasons. Let’s just say, I’m not feeling a lot of family pressure to leave the state. Haha.
I’ll keep you all posted, but when I hung up that phone, I was more nervous than I was when doing the interview. Let’s hope that doesn’t continue.
