I had a final today – it went awesome! It helps that I studied more for this final than the two previous two exams for the class. I studied on Friday night with Megan and Saturday morning with Krista. I also studied Thursday night and all day Friday. I was really hard core! And so when I got to the exam, I honestly found it a lot less intimidating than I thought it was going to be. Overall, I was very well prepared.

I felt completely drained after my exam and literally sat around just feeling dead. Brittany came over and we played some Halo. It was about 9:30, and I wanted to do SOMETHING! So I said to her, let’s make a song. We sat down with GarageBand and one idea – “pictures” – and we came up, in less than 2 hours, with a song that is pretty good. I’ll post the link in a moment, but first I must warn potential listeners that the song does contain one instance of foul language and contains adult themes. I wouldn’t recommend it for children. It is one of the quickest songs that I have ever made. Even Hollaback Bitch, which was essentially a cover track in which I did not have to make a beat took me four hours. I think it is partially because I have gotten to know GarageBand better and because of good fortune knowing the kind of sound that I wanted. But when I worked on the previous song, I spent a lot of time playing with filters to get it to sound right, but now I know what I need to do to make my voice sound good so there isn’t much playing around. And then the lyrics aren’t much of anything for this song; they’re just meant to be funny. So anyway, the result was quick and good.

I’ve got another exam on Tuesday, and that won’t take much studying for. I’m hoping to get my oil changed and my laundry done tomorrow. I don’t think I should have any trouble doing that. Anyway, download the song and tell me what you think.
