Catch-Up Time

Alright, I’m done with my papers. I don’t have any exams coming up. All I have to do is read and type my notes. I haven’t felt this relieved in a while. Our movie for Apple is progressing. Pretty soon, my own personal role will be complete. We will be recording voices tomorrow and once that’s done, I hand it over to the editing skills of a guy in Milwaukee. Then I don’t even want to think about it again. It’s become Bob’s pet project with us reps. scrambling to make sure all the bragging he’s been doing doesn’t blow up in his face.

On Wednesday, Jason, a rep. in Milwaukee, came to Madison. We got together in my apartment to film the scenes with the dolls. Have I explained this movie? It’s a Wizard of Oz thing, with Dorothy waking up in the land of Apple rather than in Oz. But a lot is different from the actual Wizard storyline. Anyway, we are doing the scenes in Oz with dolls and a green screen. Jason and I had a hilarious time filming these dolls. We did the voices so we can cut the scenes easier, but the real voice recording will be me, Laduma, and Jeremy tomorrow.

Brittany came over yesterday and we went out for some dinner at a Mexican restaurant. It was great food, except that the extra hot salsa we requested was not hot at all. It just tasted bitter and burnt. We were very disappointed. Today, Brittany, myself, and Brittany’s roommate Kelly went to see world renowned illusionist Andre… somebody. Anyway, he’s also a super Christian, and that message would be presented. We wanted to go just to see that. And he was a pretty talented magician, including his inadvertant proof that Jesus could have escaped his tomb via magic. I wanted him to say something really offensive and have the crowd start booing, but that didn’t happen. People were not, however, especially reverent during his prayer. Not that anyone was rude, but I didn’t see anyone with heads bowed, hands together.

Tomorrow will be the start of Halloween weekend here in Madison. I am not anticipating doing anything tomorrow. But Saturday, there will be people here staying over, including Kristine (Anthony’s girlfriend) and four of her friends (one might be her sister actually). I am hoping that Brittany will be able to come here and we can hit up State Street together. I am not particularly keen on heading out with my roommates because I don’t know what plans they have themselves and I know Anthony is tied down to Kristine and crew. Anyway, we’ll see what will happen.

I think that’s about it. I’m going to go and put in some more work on my story for creative writing that I e-mailed to a select few of you loyal readers. I have some interesting ideas for changes.
